The Waters of Meribah (Day 1)

In a hollow church a voice raises up, she is the lone prophet of Meribah.
In the waters she has bathed
in the waters she has bathed
in the waters she has bathed
at Meribah.

In the street they hear her voice, strong and sturdy and brave
In her hands she holds a coal
in her hands she holds a coal
in her hands she holds a coal
to your lips she lifts it.

Her voice is sweetly lifted, in praise to the Lord her maker
And she warns you of the night
and she warns you of the night
and she warns you of the night
that is coming.

She takes you gently by the hand and offers you the light
She says do not be afraid
she says do not be afraid
as she bathes you in the waters
of Meribah

To the testing grounds you’ve come finding if you will be proved
you are the salt of the earth
you are the salt of the earth
you have been tested in the waters
of Meribah.

A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
